Edinburgh Travel Guide & Map (Android app, package com.app.edinburghtravelguide)

This policy explains what information the Edinburgh Travel Guide & Map app ("the app") handles and why. The app is published by TableGlide, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India ("we", "us").

In short: the app has no user accounts, no ads and no analytics. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos or location. Your saved places and settings stay on your phone. If you buy Premium, we keep an anonymous record of the order (see section 2).

1. Information stored only on your device

To work offline, the app keeps the following on your phone. It is never sent to us:

• Places you save to your list (favorites)
• Whether you have unlocked Premium, so premium content works offline
• Travel notices you have dismissed
• Guide content and photos, including content updates downloaded by the app

This information is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data in your phone's settings.

2. Purchases

Premium is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your card or payment details. Google Play tells the app whether your Google account owns Premium so it can unlock the content and restore it on a new device. Google's handling of your payment information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

When a purchase is made, cancelled or refunded, Google Play notifies our server. We keep a record of that purchase for bookkeeping, refunds and fraud prevention: the Google Play order ID, the product, the purchase date, its status (paid, cancelled or refunded), the country of purchase and the price paid. This record does not contain your name, email address, Google account or payment details, and we do not share it with anyone. It is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and kept for as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes.

3. Internet connections the app makes

The guide works offline. When you are online, the app connects to the following services. Like any internet request, these connections reveal your device's IP address and basic technical information (such as the app version) to the service that receives them. We do not use this to identify you.

4. Links that open other apps or websites

When you tap "Directions", the app opens Google Maps (or your browser) with the destination. When you tap an official website or a phone number, the app opens your browser or phone dialer. Those apps and websites have their own privacy policies; the app does not send them any information about you beyond opening the link.

5. Permissions

The app only uses the Internet and network-state permissions (for the connections above and to know when you are offline) and the Google Play billing permission (for purchases). It does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts or files.

6. Children

The app is a travel guide intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your rights

We hold no personal information that identifies you; purchase records contain only the order details listed in section 2. If you send us your Google Play order ID, we can tell you what we hold for it or delete it where the law allows. You can remove everything the app stores by uninstalling it or clearing its data. If you have any question or request about your privacy, including under laws such as the GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, contact us at the address below and we will respond.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information (for example, if we add crash reporting or usage analytics to improve the app), we will update this page and the effective date above before the change reaches the app, and we will update the app's Data safety information on Google Play.
