Restaurants keep set hours
Most restaurants serve lunch from about 12:00 to 14:30 and dinner from 19:00 to 22:30, and close in between. Cafés and brasseries serve food all day.
Ask for the bill
Waiters will not bring the bill until you ask. Lingering is normal. Say 'L'addition, s'il vous plaît' when you are ready.
