Unlicensed taxis and "special prices"

At the airport, malls and nightlife areas, drivers of private cars sometimes offer rides at a "good price". They are illegal, uninsured and usually more expensive. Use the official taxi rank, a metered RTA taxi or a ride-hailing app.

Too-cheap tours and safaris

Very cheap desert safaris and city tours sold on the street or through social media often add surprise fees, cram in large groups or are unlicensed. Book through your hotel, a known platform or an operator with recent reviews, and check what is included.
