Jumeirah Mosque مسجد جميرا
A beautiful white stone mosque open to non-Muslims on guided cultural tours.
Built in the medieval Fatimid style, the Jumeirah Mosque is one of the few mosques in Dubai open to non-Muslim visitors. Guided tours run by the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding explain Islam and Emirati traditions, with time for questions.
The tour is relaxed and friendly, and usually includes light refreshments. It is a good introduction to local culture early in your trip.
Booking advice
Registration opens about 30 minutes before each tour; arrive early in peak season (November–March).
Insider tips
- Dress modestly: long sleeves and long trousers or skirt. Women need to cover their hair; bring a scarf.
- Shoes come off at the door, so wear something easy to slip on and off.
- Photography inside is allowed during the tour; ask before photographing people.
