Casa Batlló
A Gaudí house on Passeig de Gràcia with a skull-and-bones balcony and a scaled roof.
Gaudí remodelled this house between 1904 and 1906. The façade is covered in broken-tile mosaic and curving balconies, and the roof arches like a dragon's back. Inside, there are no straight lines, and the light well is tiled in shades of blue that deepen towards the top.
The standard visit includes a multimedia guide with augmented reality. Higher tickets add the roof terrace and special evening visits.

Insider tips
- You can admire the façade from the pavement for free; many visitors only need the exterior photo from across the Passeig.
- Passeig de Gràcia is also home to Casa Amatller and Casa Lleó Morera, so walk the block to compare three styles.
- If you can only afford one Gaudí house interior, pick this one for the light well, or Casa Milà for the roof.
